Blog: Natural Ways To Loose Weight

by admin on June 22, 2009

I’m all for setting goals in my weight loss blog of course and invoking a positive mindset, but you have to be serious about them. The idea of turning over a New Leaf when the the New Year strikes is a little bit disingenuous to me, but if it works for you, then it works and that’s what counts. If it doesn’t work for you, you need to realize that you don’t need any milestone or date to start becoming more healthy. You just need to start adopting a better lifestyle. It doesn’t have to be drastic either. Start off by ditching soda for water and go from there. If you’re looking for fast weight loss, realize that people who lose weight the fastest also have a tendency to gain it back the fastest. Why? They lost it so fast because that they’re lifestyle wasn’t altered that much. So sometimes slow weight loss is better. It helps become something you embody.

This is something that can be a big challenge in your life so dedicate your power to it. You know if you’re taking losing weight seriously or if you’re kidding yourself. Watching your calories is a big time way to shed some of those extra pounds. You want to eat a healthy amount of calories relative to your individual situation. If you’re over that amount, simply start chipping away at some of the bad calories you’re getting. Drop a bag of chips here. Ignore an ice cream bar there. Substitute the vegetables for fries and the calories really start adding up. That’s at least 400 calories just off those 4 items. And if something you’re eating that’s not good for you doesn’t taste good, then put it down. There’s no sense in eating something that tastes bad and is bad for you.

Different people attack losing weight differently. I compiled a list of the best weight loss blogs I found while surfing the net. So many people have great stories and great tips, they definitely are worthy of all the attention they get. For one, PastaQueen is a really cool site. She has lost about half her weight in 2 1/2 years. Plus, I really think her website name is cool. I also liked LessJess. She gives some really good tips on her site and her writing is very fun to read. Another really good blog is Johnisfit. Today he wrote about some of the same websites you need to be on the lookout for. He is just a genuinely good blogger.

So many of us are looking for that miracle cure to losing weight, but we lose sight of what actually helps us lose weight: Change. If you want to make a big move in your weight, you’ve got to change your habits to reflect that. You need to cut out the late night eating and the other bad habits you have accummulated over the years and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

When you start changing your diet and you start changing your lifestyle into healthy mechanisms, you’re going to see a change and that change is going to be for the better. As you keep up your healthy lifestyle, you’ll be surprised at the positive improvements you feel and see.

My thought on trainers.  I recommend those reading my blog on weight loss hire a trainer. I really like how they are motivational and give that positive start to working out in a gym. I think that most trainers regardless of what they appear to be like are motivational. For me picking out a trainer is picking out someone that I think will work best with me and will know my future goals of “weight loss” and fitness best.

I have had great trainers that have all worked with my fitness goals at the time. I started out with a trainer with a background in health, so he knew what was going to be the best for me to eat and the best exercises for my stressed muscles. I also worked for a few weeks with a trainer who emphasized arm muscles and weight, so I lost a few pounds and gained a bit of strength.

After that I worked with a trainer that knew his exercises very well and showed me how different exercises would help me learn about different muscle groups. This trainer challenged me. I have also had a trainer that worked very hard on learning new types of exercises and always challenged me to do new exercises and to gain not inches but strength and confidence in my workouts. He helped me incorporate my workouts and my strengths with new exercises. I love doing these workouts and challenge myself every time I workout with the workouts he has shown me.

I would say that all of these trainers did a great job with helping motivate me and advising me on how to get a better workout in my time at the gym. In this “weight loss blog”, I can’t say how much I endorse trainers. I love to workout and I think that working out is the key to my weight loss goals, fitness, and loosing weight fast but I do not think its a good idea to workout everyday.

I don’t think its a good idea to workout everyday, because its hard on my joints and my bones. If I workout everyday and stress my muscles out, then I wont be able to workout in the long run. I am working out about five to six days a week and its been a challenge to push myself even that much. Working out five days a week requires some consistent days or days in a row to workout. If there are days in a row that I will be working out, then I make sure that I will be doing a different type of muscle group each day. With training a different type of muscle each day, the muscles I have worked the day before can rest and be ready for a few days later or the next week.

I have started working out my arms a lot for example. When working my arms out I do alot of pull ups, and resistence exercises. So the next day I work on legs and the next day I work on cardio. It gives my muscles time to rest. On a cardio day I usually run or bike. On the cardio days and all the days I workout I make sure to maintain a good eating schedule so that I will be ready to workout and that I have enough calories before and after the workout.

I would love it if I was able to wake up really early and get a good workout in before I start the day. It seems like I would have the most energy in the morning and that I would never skip my workouts. I would always have the workout first and I would not be tired. Many weight loss blogs besides me have recommended this as well as you’re apt to burn more calories and loose more weight in the morning. I just cant wake up early enough to call any of my workouts a morning workout. A morning workout is not something I have to do now, because it seems like I am not doing anything else in the day.

I do make sure that I get a good breakfast in. A breakfast is key to my fitness. I have two pieces of toast and some yogurt or calcium. That’s all for this journal. I’ve got to get back to working out and trying to loose more weight so I have a success story chronicled in my weight loss blog.
