I lost 7 Pounds in 3 Weeks!

I know I haven’t kept up with my weight loss blog, but I had to let you all know that I lost 7 pounds in 3 weeks! 21 days and 7 pounds came off. I am thrilled. This is such a great weight loss success story and I can’t believe it’s me.

Here’s how I did it:

I replaced half the juices and any other things non-water besides milk with water. Next, I added 10 minutes of abs every morning right after I got up and before I ate breakfast. I did this 5 days a week – on the weekdays. Another change I made was I ran three days a week but I spaced them out – 1 on Monday, 1 on Thursday, and 1 on Sunday. All I did was run 25 minutes with all the effort I had. It was very tough, but it really helped me dig in the fat and burn it.

On eating food, I completely shut off my eating after 8:30 pm. I had been eating later and later and so I decided this could help. Big HELP! No more calories just grabbing to my fat when I went to bed. One more thing: I lifted weights and I went for a lot of reps with just my little rep and I didn’t give myself much rest – in a way this was almost like another cardio for me.

After it was all said and done, I was burning calories and lowering the number of calories I ate at the same time. The results are amazing. I feel lighter and my clothes look a ton better. Besides loosing weight, I toned up with a little muscle tone in my body.

Thanks for everybody that’s been writing in. Jen – don’t worry about what other people think at the gym. Just go in and get your body and don’t worry about anything else. Go girl!

4 Weight Loss Tips

To understand how to lose weight you need to take into account the following 4 weight loss tips.

1. First, start with the basics. In order to lose weight you have to create a deficit of 3000 calories. This actually means that when the calories you burn are 3000 more than the calories you consume you will lose one pound. If you appreciate this simple rule then everything else is a matter of finding the right ways to create the deficit.

2. The only way to burn more calories than you do now and thus expand the calorie deficit is though exercise and physical activity. If you exercise more then you will help your body burn more calories. Unfortunately not all people like exercise so you have to find other ways to become active. Some good examples are to start walking, running, do a sport that requires movement or start doing manual work i.e. gardening, washing your car, cleaning your house etc.

3. The other part of the weight loss equation, consume less calories can be met by a careful diet. This does not mean excluding any food types from your diet but being selective on what foods you eat from each food group. For example you can start by skipping full fat foods (red meat, full fat dairy products) and replacing them with low fat foods, lots of fruits and fresh vegetables, fish, tuna and low fat dairy products. This action alone will save you enough calories to start the process. For better results you can keep track of your current eating habits, measure the number of calories you consume and calculate how much calories you can save by making alterations to the items you eat.

4. Finally, do not forget that drinks also have calories. This includes soft drinks and coffees. As part of your new diet you must remove sugar soft drinks from your diet and replace them with diet or light drinks and drink coffee with no milk or sugar. The only drink that you can consume with out feat is water which has 0 calories and has a lot to offer to your health and weight loss.

By following the above 4 weight loss tips you will be able to enjoy a healthier life and also you will start losing weight. Remember that weight loss takes time and you need to be patient throughout the process. There may be times you will get bored and wish to quit but you have to stick to your goals until you achieve your targets.
